Double Date #1

O Wednesday, O Wednesday.
Holli and I spent and hour or so getting ready and talking before our dates arrived. Once J.J. and Kyle showed up we headed to the car and the boys chivalrously opened our doors for us! {of course that's expected of a good date} When we got to the bowling alley they got out and opened our doors for us! {That is major brownies points!}

We started bowling and I was terrible! I just made sure everyone knew it takes me about 10 games to warm up and then they better watch out! :P Kyle on the other hand got a strike every other time it seemed liked! Way to show up your date! It was really fun despite my lack of strikes. . . or spares. . . or knocking over pins. After bowling we went to Hilly's and got a horchata and churro! Then to Walmart for pancake stuff! And we grabbed a Red Box (Warrior). We made these delicious pancakes that J.J. learned how to make from his mission. And then we started the movie. Kyle and I sat on the same couch that was just slightly more than big enough for two. We were sitting on our own sides and Kyle kept moving, he got up and changed the volume... twice, turned the kitchen light out, propped his foot up on his knee, leaned back against the side of the couch and put his arm way around behind the couch, propped his knee up again, leaned back. . . It was way funny and cute. Then the movie ended and it was super good. We went back to Goodmans and they walked us to our doors. Then I ran up stairs to Holli's as soon as they drove away!

The Accidental Run In.

Home Evening at Brother and Sister Palmer's and Home Made Apple Crisp with ice cream! Could an evening get any better? I think not, but oh how I was wrong. . .
After Home Evening I went upstairs to my good friend Holli's house and we enjoyed a yummy salad she had made. J.J. a new friend of the semester came over and he invited us to go watch a movie at his house. Holli and I were in, so off to his house {well. . . trailer} we went! When we walked in I recognized the guy sitting at the table. It was the guy from the dance that I rambled non-sensibly to. WHAT a dreadful thing to be at his house!
We all started talking and we were like ya I know you from the dance and then it was like something clicked with J.J. and he said, "You're the one from the dance." which was kind of weird at the moment because we were like ya, we just said we knew each other from the dance. . . lol. We then started the movie, Dumb and Dumber, which was really silly, I had never seen it before. Right after the movie was over Kyle jumped up and said, "Stephanie, would you like to go on a date with me on Wednesday?" It was like he had been waiting the whole movie to say it. :) SO funny but cute. And I said, "Yes, that sounds really fun." J.J. took Holli and I home and I used that as an opportunity to ask him what he meant by, "You're the girl from the dance", and how he knew it was me and not someone else. And he just said, "Oh, I know it was you." And that was that.

How We Met.

Kyle and I met at:
E.A.C.'s {institute} Welcome Back to School Dance!

You know the feeling you get when someone is walking towards you,
 and you know they are going to ask you to dance?
You're hoping that:
One. You are not too sweaty from the last three line dances. . .
Two. The conversation will not be awkward or non-existent. . .
Three. The song will not be terribly long {Unless he is an excellent dancer & spins or dips you}
And Four. He is handsome.

So. . . I was catching up with my friend Daphne when two boys started walking towards us. Each asked one of us to dance. Kyle and I started dancing and introduced ourselves. However, Kyle looked really familiar, like someone I knew from my first year at EA. I couldn't tell if it was him or not and all I could remember was, he was cute, and from Show Low. He didn't act like he knew me so after he told me his name I asked where he was from. Then I was more confused because Kyle was from Show Low. But we continued talking and I concluded that I had never met him before. We started to talk about school, majors, and classes {really exciting I know.} He said that he was planning to be an engineer but he was taking the semester off from math. I asked if he was ahead in math and told him that he should take it this semester. I got really into the fact that he should take a math class because he wasn't ahead, the math would pile up, I was a math tutor, and I wouldn't be there next year. And this is when I started rambling about I don't even know what{my passion for math maybe} and I started to get all embarrassed and it was terrible! Then I couldn't wait for it to end so I would stop talking. ha And then it ended! I remember finding Daphne as quick as I could so I could tell her how embarrassed I was from rambling. And that he looked a lot like that really cute guy from my first year. {Translation: I thought he was pretty cute.}
