Back in Thatcher!

After being gone a week it was really good to see Kyle again! I had missed him! Throughout this week we watched Despicable Me, went on walks, he came to see me when I worked late, we made pancakes on national pancake day with everyone. These pancakes had cream soda in them! We played racquetball and I lost both times we played ha.

Then on Friday I was at Holli's and Kyle invited us to very last minute go to Show Low to watch a snowboarding competition and to go to the Vocal Point concert. It was more of a joke but then we were all thinking about it and we could totally do it! So we were ready to go and done with everything by about 5 and we went to Little Caesars and got a hot and ready pizza and Italian cheesy bread. And we ate it and then started the journey. Kyle wanted to take the longer scenic route even though it was getting dark and he hadn't been that way before. So we were driving and we got to New Mexico... So we turned around and found where we missed the turn. It took 5 hours to get to Show Low on winding roads. We stopped in Round Valley and Holli and I found weed... in the bathroom! So we told the clerk and he got it and smelt it and then he just said well someones going to be missing that. And he just threw it in the trash can. I felt like he should call the cops! But oh well, we had places to be! When we finally arrive at Kyle's house, we were received with a warm welcome and we had chips and salsa and a delicious soup, as we all got acquainted. His parents were so much fun to talk with and it was fun to see him interact with his family.

On Saturday we got up and had breakfast which was biscuits and bacon gravy and eggs with veggies and salsa. Super yummie. Then we quick got all of our snow stuff and headed out to Sunrise but we got lost. We were able to find it though and we watched Dathen and a few others snow board. Then we ate sandwiches, brownies, and strawberries that Kyle's mom had kindly made for us. And then there was a DJ and shuffling contest going on and it was sweet! And we got a free CD. On our way back to Kyle's we were going to go romping in the snow with Tucker (the name of the truck) but we made it like 30 feet from the road and got stuck! No surprises there. So we tried to get it unstuck and before too long a car stopped and a guy got out and offered to help push. He said he passed by and thought he should go back and check. So him and his brother helped us get unstuck! Hooray! What a blessing that we got helped instead of having to do it all by ourselves. We went straight to Kyle's house after that and were welcomed with homemade bread sticks! Mmm... one of Kyle's favorite dinners. Kyle LOVES bread. Then it was to the Vocal Point concert! It was so good and it was packed but we found some seats on the end in the front half. When they started having crowed participation I was like I really hope they don't ask me and sure enough Trevor, one of the singers comes straight towards me and quietly asks if I'll answer a question, what is the largest audience Vocal Point has ever preformed in front of? and I said yes and then he asked if Kyle and I were on date and we said yes and he said perfect I'll ask you a couple of questions and have you introduce your guy here, and then ask you the question. Then it was show time, ah... I'm getting so nervous just typing this story! So he has me stand up and asks me my name and where I'm from and he put his arm around me and said I'm probably making this guy jealous over here. And he had Kyle stand up and he asked me to introduce him and say where he was from. Then he asked me the question and I guessed and they answered. And then he put me on the spot and asked me what the best date I had ever been on was. And he said you better think very carefully. I couldn't think of anything and so I just said this one time I went to Tucson. Everyone and the singers were like what? Boo! And Trevor said are you sure and I was confused and I said it was pretty fun... then I got it and said, at a Vocal Point concert! And everyone cheered and laughed. Trevor said you did perfect that was funny and awesome. whew. Then my heart started to beat again and I was able to relax. The rest of the concert continued to be really fun and beautiful. Then we started back to Show Low because the concert was in Snowflake and we got pulled over! And the cop took all of our licences which was really weird. But he let us go with a written warning and a service repair thing. Kyle started plotting to trick his mom into thinking he got pulled over for speeding, the cop thinking we were drinking, that it was in a school zone so double fines, the broken light, the blinker wasn't working, and I don't know what else! And I couldn't believe little sweet innocent Kyle was creating such a plan! But it worked and then he went and got the "ticket" and she was looking at it. And at the time she was cutting Nathan's hair and so when she realized it was a joke Kyle started running and she chased him around the kitchen and it was just too funny! Kyle made a joke about her chasing him around with the scissors. Oh man it was so hard not to give away the prank when Kyle was telling it. Holli had to leave the room because she was going to laugh too hard! Kyle didn't think he could trick his dad like that but we all wanted him to try but it just didn't work. And so we just told him the funny story about how Kyle had tricked his mom. We then had the most wonderful cheese cake I have ever had and it was homemade! It had raspberries and was just great. After that we all played scum and had a great time. And to end the night we had jam and bread. I washed my hair and Kyle was playing with my hair while it dried and we talked about how the weekend had been going and were laughing at all the silly stuff.

Sunday Holli woke up and wan't feeling good at all. Kyle's mom got her all doctored up and we got ready because we would be making it back just in time for church. We left and about and hour out of Show Low Kyle checks his phone and realizes that his family tried to get a hold of him to tell him he left his backpack and laptop. He really needed those things so we turned around and I borrowed one of his mom's skirts and we went to church and poor poor Holli stayed and watched a movie/slept. We stayed for dinner and had pork roast with chipotle raspberry sauce, salad, roasted veggies, and croissants. Mmm. Then we left again, made it back to Thatcher, made pancakes, and watched 21.

What a crazy fun weekend it was!

Camping Trip!

The night before Katie, Kaitlyn, Holli, Jared, J.J., Kyle and I went up to Mt. Graham we got stuff at Walmart and Holli and I ran around Walmart taking pictures of where we were at and then moving to a new spot. then the Boys sent up a pick of the outside of Walmart and the car! So we quick went outside to see if they were bluffing. They were! SO. . . Holli and I ran all the way to Blockbuster and took a picture and sent it to them! haha it was too funny! We sure surprised them. They day of the camping trip the boys set up all the stuff for tin foil dinners (they had chopped everything up and had it all set out. They thought of everything!) and we all made our own before we went up. We got up to our camping ground and set up a tent and a tarp and got a fire going to cook dinner. After we ate dinner which was delicious we went star gazing and then. . . it was so freezing we had to go to Denny's and get hot chocolate. So we had a little road trip and and once we got back it was still way too cold we couldn't sleep so we had to stay by the fire. When the sun finally came up it was awesome! Finally a little warmth! haha it was fun and then we went back down the mountain and I got all ready to leave for the week. (I was nannying for a family in Phoenix) When I did get home I got  a phone call from Shea saying he had just been at Kyle's and he just said a lot of good cute things about Kyle and what he had said. Haha he was so excited for us.

Skippin' Rocks and Stick Races

What fun what fun!
We went to skip rock and have stick races!
I have been taught many times how to skip rocks,
I try so hard and I just never can, but guess what!?
After many tries and lots of patience I did it!
I skipped a bunch of rocks! I felt so cool!
Thanks Kyle!

Then came the stick races.
I had only ever tried in this in the gutters as a little kid.
And only when it rain hard enough to fill up the gutters,
which wasn't very often in Phoenix, AZ.
So we picked our sticks very carefully.
And then we picked a starting line and a finish line.
I was so confident, I got this.

Sticks take your mark. . . GO!
My stick was in the lead and it was awesome until,
disaster struck! My stick got caught in the wrong current,
and it got captured by an evil mound of sticks and mud. Ew.
So sad and then we tried a few more races and I'd rather not
say how those went. ;)
Kyle Won.

Then I thought I know we could play tic-tac-toe and the dot game!
I knew I could win those and redeem myself.
So I drew a board out with a stick in the mud and kyle jumped right in.
And he beat me. How was that even possible. Not even a cats game.
So we kept trying and it was cats games after that.
Then came the dot game.
Same story almost except, I won one game!
And you can bet I was proud of it too!

It was just a really fun outing!

Valentines Day

Kyle is fantastic at planing cute fun activities. For Valentines Day Kyle got me my favorite candy bar and we made broiled grapefruit and tim-tams. Then I had work but I also had picked something up for Kyle but I hadn't put it together yet. So I was doing it at work but he came and visited me because it was raining and he knew how much I love the rain. I had to hide my project from him and he had to leave the room so I could finish. I had got a snickers bar and some hot tamales so I could put them on some card stock that said "I like you, you make me snicker. Sincerely, Hot Tamale" It was great after work a group of us watched a movie and then we played some guitar and then we all went home. Before Kyle left he invited me to go skip rocks at the river and have stick races on Thursday. I love how he is always planning things and asks me in advance. Lots of thought and effort. :)

The Cutest Little Yard in Town.

We went out to Pima and set up the projector to watch the movie. When we got there it was so pretty, there were little circle lights strung everywhere, there was a rope swing (that Kyle pushed me on while we were waiting for the other couples), an old play set/ tree house with swings a slide and a cool balcony, a fire pit, a merry-go-round . There were tables and walnut trees and Kyle taught me how to crack the walnuts. :) we started the movie and I leaned against Kyle and he PLAYED WITH MY HAIR and softly tickled my hand. After the movie we had dutch oven peach cobble with whip cream! And we played on the merry-go-round. And explored the super cute yard. When he dropped me off I told him thank you so much! You are so sweet! And he said you are welcome, you deserve it. Aww. . .

Emergency Room Date.

This was our second double date. The plan was to go palm tree climbing! When we got there, a bunch of unexpected people were around the palm trees. Not wanting to get in trouble we decided to wait a little bit. So of course we went to the park! We just started talking and playing on the equipment when Kyle ran over to me and said TAG, Your it! Determined to catch him I quickly jumped off the rope wall and darted after him. I didn't even make it two steps and I face planted in the sand! It was dark outside and I didn't see the bar that was running across two poles. Luckily Kyle was running away so he didn't see it but Holli and J.J. sure did! Everyone just started laughing including me and it hurt a little but it was so funny!

They made sure I was okay and I was like yeah I'm fine and started walking around a little. Then I said I should probably just look at it to make sure. And as I started to pull up my pant leg it felt wet, I just thought oh no. And sure enough it was bleeding everywhere! So we left and went to Kyle's to clean it up and get a better look at it. It was pretty deep and about three quarters of an inch and bleeding pretty good so we went to J.J.'s Aunts house to get a more professional opinion and we got it cleaned but they thought I should probably get stitches. And they talked to a doctor about it and he said since its right on the shin and so deep you should take it in. So after talking with my parents we decided that was best. So off the Th ER we went. I told them they could just drop me off but they all stayed. After waiting for a couple hours and two lost Sudoku races they called me back. Kyle was so cute, he held all of my stuff and went with me and squeezed my hand while I got a tetanus shot and while I got a couple shots in my gash to numb it. Then they cleaned it and started the stitches. They only did ONE stitch! All of that for one stitch! Sadly it wasn't even closed and it was just lame. I suppose it does make the adventure a little bit more funny but really? Not cool. haha After that we got horchata and pain killers. It was quite an adventure! First and hopefully last date to the ER.

The next day Kyle came over and surprised me with my favorite blizzard, Heath bar! He remembered from when we talked about it at Red Knolls. And he remember that I love rainbow sprinkles too so there were rainbow sprinkles in it too! Very cleaver and he stayed and watched two movies with me that day! After the first one we went to the practice rooms and I played the piano and he played the piano a little. haha it was fun and then we went back to my house and watched another movie with J.J. and Holli. Before he left he invited me to go on another date to watch a movie on a projector screen out in Pima with another couple in a few days and I accepted. Tonight was our 5th hug since we met.

Funny Side Note:
Kyle didn't put his arm around me till about half way through the first movie and when we started the second one same thing. Not till we were about half way through did he put his arm around me :) So cute.

He Put His Arm Around Me!

Movie number four with Holli and J.J.
So about half way through the movie Kyle brought his arm all the way around behind me.
And behind the couch but he slowly moved it down till it was touching my shoulders.
However he still had his arm and hand sticking out stiff to the side!
Way funny! So I leaned my head over on his shoulder thinking he might relax a little.
And he just curled his wrist so he was still super stiff but his hand was pointing down now.
Haha! Eventually he relax a bit and was lightly touching my arm.
After the movie we played the guitar a little and then they took us home.
I just enjoy being around him.

Just Us Date #1

Friday night I was so excited I couldn't sleep! I woke up early on Saturday and got ready even though the date wasn't until 4:00. When he picked me up of course he opened my door for me and to Red Knolls we went. On our way there he said something about how he came out there earlier in the day to scout it out and make sure he remembered where everything was. So thoughtful!

I had never hiked around Red Knolls, been in the caves, or any caves for that matter. It was way cool! He brought a little flash light and head lamps {way to plan right? It gets better} and we hiked all over the place. The whole time we were talking non stop! Mostly about how great childhood was telling stories about the adventures we had and about our families. As we were getting closer to the top there were these huge holes that dropped down, and I saw what looked like basketball hoops so we picked up rocks and started to shoot some baskets ;) then as we were walking Kyle and I both bent down and picked up a rock at the same time. When we looked up we were both holding up a rock with a hole through the middle except mine was huge and his rock was about the size of a quarter. Good eye Kyle, good eye.  I said I kind of want to keep this rock and he put it in his little backpack for me! How sweet is that!? Then pointing to a huge boulder I said I think I really want to keep this one too we both just laughed.
(The rock)
We continued on our adventure and I saw what looked like miniature Indian ruins. We were looking at it and we saw a patch of fur. So we quickly became paleontologists and started to brush the dirt away and we started to find lots of little mouse bones. I know this sounds a little strange but it was so fun! After that he said well we should probably hurry and head to the top. Me being slightly scared of heights said the very top? And he said Oh yeah. Once we got up there it was super duper windy, like you could lean against it with out falling! Especially if you held your jacket open. Then we sat down and he said that the reason he wanted to hurry to the top was to catch the sunset. Then he said well should we start a fire and I said yup! So started thinking about how we were going back down by the car and he interrupted my thought process of how I was going to be able to climb down now that it was dark by saying, "Okay, I put some wood down in one of these holes that has a tree in it." {Whoa so awesome! And I got to postpone the scary journey down to the car} We found the hole, climbed down, started a fire, and we talked for probably a good hour, about food, and we found another cave and Kyle had been wanting to find a bat in the caves all day but we hadn't found one. And you guessed it there was a bat in this last cave! We went back to the fire and continued talking about food and he asked have you ever had roasted apples? And I said no but I've always wanted to. He then pulled some apples out of his backpack! {more great planning} Roasted apples are great they taste just like the inside of an apple pie. Yum. After that we put the fire out and climbed out of the hole and then down Red Knolls.

When we got in the car Kyle was like talking about all that food makes me want to make something now. So we decided to make cream cheese brownies! We ran around Walmart and got the stuff and then back to his house to make the brownies. They were delicious and the day/evening was so incredible! I had such an amazing time! And was so impressed with all the planning he did!

Small Events.

The next week Kyle and I hung out with friends three times together. One night we all went to the park, had slide races, made slide trains, and played on the swings. Another night we had crock pot chicken tacos, played the guitar, went on a sonic run, and had cake at Natalia's. And the third night Daphne and I made roasted chicken tacos with an avocado, tomato, cucumber, lime salsa! And then we invited a few people over, had some tacos and played a card game called 3-14. All were very fun events. And on Friday which was filled with many great things like the dollar lunch, the baseball game with Court(with a yummy snack run), playing the guitar, being kidnapped to a bonfire, playing the story game, and psychiatrist. . . Kyle texted me and asked me on a date for Saturday (the next day). He said he was thinking Red Knolls and a fire. :) I was so stoked!
